I am preparing my presentation for another 3D conference and have been reading up on the latest statistics.
Recall rates for 3D ads are 15-20% higher, says James Stewart in Ontario citing various sources. This seems intuitive as the “immersion” is higher and is related to what MindLab has been reported.
In the survey “What’s Next for 3DTV?” conducted by NPD and commissioned by the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing owners of 3D TVs seems to be happy with their products. 87% say they are satisfied with the quality and 60% say the purchase was wrth the money. This is relatively high considering these are early adopters and technology offerings have been shaky in 2010. But 2011 has been a good year for affordable new TV models and easier access to good content.
